Full Stack Engineer

Aayu Technologies is a US company with its technology offices located in Sri Lanka. We are looking for Full Stack Engineers to work on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform builder with significant experience in developing and maintaining scalable and reliable Enterprise solutions. They must have firsthand technical expertise in a variety of Enterprise techniques, technologies and protocols, and exposure to Cloud based development, deployment and configuration management. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development.

Aayu Technologies loves engineers with a passion to live and work in Sri Lanka. Our office is located in Mount Lavinia.

Responsibilities

Software analysis, design and development in an agile environment
Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and deployments
Direct customer interaction for requirements gathering, evaluation/proofs-of-concept and technical issue resolution
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Collaborate with the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices

Requirements

2-4 years of work experience
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Very good knowledge and experience with Java and NodeJS development and best practices.
Experience in working with NoSQL and SQL (RDBMS) databases such as DynamoDB, Firebase, Postgres
Experience in Front-End technologies such as Angular
Experience in Back-End technologies such as NodeJS, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate
Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Gradle, etc.
Prior experience with AWS / Google Firebase / Azure services is an added advantage
Prior experience with serverless application development is an added advantage

The starting salary will depend on the level of knowledge and experience of the individual
After completion of a period of 4 to 6 months under probation, the employee will be able to get paid directly in US $ into a USD bank account in Sri Lanka
Subsequent increments and bonuses shall depend on the individual performance of each employee
Work within a small team of highly competent and senior engineers with over 7 years of industry experience on average
Work with cutting-edge Cloud and Serverless based development in product engineering

Your initial salary will be pegged to the US Dollar. After confirmation of service, you can opt to receive a portion of it directly as US Dollars, into your own USD foreign currency account.
